Zelensky: No misunderstanding with Zaluzhny, we work as team

President Volodymyr Zelensky underscores that he has no misunderstandings with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny. They work as a team.

Zelensky made a corresponding statement during a joint press conference with Prime Minister of Ireland Micheál Martin, commenting on the preliminary decision of the General Staff regarding the permits to leave district and region of residence necessary for those liable to military service, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"As for the misunderstanding [with Zaluzhny]. We don't have any misunderstandings. Our country is at war and we must work as a team. And that's how we work. If there is any inconsistency or lack of coordination, these errors must be corrected. They are small, I believe, compared to the strength demonstrated by our state, the people of Ukraine, our Armed Forces, as we fight together," Zelensky emphasized.

He also said that the details of the decision of the General Staff regarding the procedure for the movement of those liable for military service outside the places of registration, subject to appropriate permits, were discussed at a meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. According to Zelensky, "the details say that it [decision] was adopted incorrectly", so it should be canceled.

Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny said that the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had revoked the effect of the procedure for the need to obtain permits to leave districts and regions for those liable for military service and sent it for revision

The day before, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published information that during wartime it is prohibited for conscripts, those liable for military service, and reservists to leave their place of residence without the permission of the head of the corresponding territorial recruitment and social support center. Later, the General Staff added that it is not necessary to obtain permission when moving within the same region.
