Ukrainian, Czech PMs discuss further countermeasures against Russian aggression

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and his Czech counterpart Petr Fiala have discussed further steps to counter Russian aggression and a post-war reconstruction plan for Ukraine.

Shmyhal said this in a post on messaging app Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

Shmyhal wrote that he had met with Fiala on the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in the Swiss city of Lugano.

"We coordinated further actions to counter Russian aggression and discussed the practical implementation of a Ukraine recovery plan," Shmyhal wrote.

He added that the Czech Republic was one of the first countries to support Ukraine after Russia's invasion.

The Czech Republic will preside over the Council of the European Union for the next six months. "At this time, we plan to take decisive steps towards Ukraine's integration into the EU," Shmyhal said.
