Zelensky meets with Rasmussen in Kyiv

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has met with former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen and thanked him for his involvement in the development of a project of security guarantees for Ukraine.

The head of state stated this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"Work on international security guarantees for Ukraine continues. I am thankful to former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen for his direct participation in the process necessary for our country. For the agreement to head, together with [Head of the President's Office] Andriy Yermak, a platform that can fundamentally develop specific security guarantees for Ukraine. It is important to bring together powerful, strong experts who have practical experience," Zelensky said.

Rasmussen arrived in Kyiv on July 1 and took part in the first meeting of the international working group on security guarantees for Ukraine.
