Zelensky, Trudeau discuss further defense cooperation

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in a phone call on Tuesday discussed defense cooperation and further steps to counter Russian aggression.

Zelensky said this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"Talked with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. On the eve of important international events, coordinated the next steps in counteracting Russia's aggression against Ukraine. Thanked Canada for its leadership in supporting our state," Zelensky wrote.

He added that further defense cooperation was discussed separately during the conversation.

On February 24, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, continuing the military aggression that has been going on since 2014.
