Ukraine needs more weapons from Western partners to win war – chief of Zelensky’s staff

Ukraine needs more weapons to be supplied by its Western partners to defeat the Russian Federation in the full-scale war the latter launched on February 24.

That’s according to the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, who spoke with MSNBC, Ukrinform reports with reference to Yermak’s Telegram channel.

Noting that Ukraine is grateful to the West for sanctions imposed on Russia and military aid to Ukraine, Yermak said the country needs “more” to win this war.

“They barrage our cities with rockets and ballistic missiles several times. We need fighter jets and effective long-range missiles to close our sky. We need heavy weapons, long-range artillery systems and multiple launch rocket systems, anti-ship missiles, killer drones – as soon as possible,” Yermak said.

As reported earlier, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops have been destroying Ukrainian infrastructure, massively shelling residential areas, using artillery, rockets, and ballistic missiles, as well as employing warplanes to bombard Ukraine.
