Ukraine to develop mutually beneficial cooperation with Greece

Ukraine works with Greece towards expanding mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.

"Today marks the 30th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Greece. We work towards expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between our friendly peoples," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine posted on Facebook on January 15, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the countries.

As Ambassador of Ukraine to Greece Sergii Shutenko wrote on Twitter, Ukraine values partnership with Greece in many spheres and exceptional people-to-people ties based on cultural and historical grounds. "We are confident that Ukraine–Greece partnership will further thrive!" the diplomat noted.

Greece recognized the independence of Ukraine on December 31, 1991. The countries established diplomatic relations on January 15, 1992. Greece opened an embassy in Kyiv in 1993. Moreover, the consulates general operate in Mariupol and Odesa.
