Military aid to Ukraine: Zelensky announces support of NATO Secretary General

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky says that NATO Member States do not have a common position on military assistance to Ukraine.

He said this at a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Thirty members do not have a common position on Ukraine's accession to NATO yet, but most of them support us. Moreover, they do not have a common position on military assistance... But nevertheless, I feel the comprehensive support of the Secretary General and we find other steps to solve these issues," the President of Ukraine said when asked about recent blocking the NATO weapons supply to Ukraine.

As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is on a working visit to Brussels on December 15-16.

Earlier, Bild media outlet published an article, claiming that representatives of Germany and the Netherlands prevented Ukraine from purchasing anti-drone rifles and anti-sniper systems from NATO in May 2021.
