Europe mulling five responses to Russian aggression, while Ukraine only has one - Zelensky

European partners are considering five ways to respond in the event of an escalation of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, while Ukraine has only one, which it has already demonstrated in 2014, when the country began to defend its territory.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky who spoke with journalists in Brussels on Wednesday, December 15, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Today, we discussed the security situation and the reaction to the dangerous possible escalation on the part of the Russian Federation with almost all partners at the meeting in the first part of the Eastern Partnership (Summit - ed.). There are five ways to respond to a possible escalation. We say that our country doesn’t have five responses, we will only have one. And we demonstrated it in 2014, when we took up arms to defend our territory," the head of state said.
