Zelensky, Merkel meet in Glasgow

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and acting German Chancellor Angela Merkel have discussed the security situation in eastern Ukraine and the energy crisis in Europe.

Their meeting took place on the sidelines of the COP 26 UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow (the United Kingdom) on Monday, November 1, according to the head of state's Twitter account.

"During the meeting in Glasgow with Angela Merkel, we discussed the current security situation in Donbas and the course of peace negotiations, the energy crisis in Europe and ways to overcome it, as well as topical issues of relations between Ukraine and Germany," Zelensky wrote.

The UN climate summit began in Glasgow on October 31 and will last until November 12.
