Ex-ambassador Chentsov becomes Ukraine’s representative to EU

President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Vsevolod Chentsov Ukraine's Representative to the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community.

The relevant decree has been published on the website of the President’s Office, according to Ukrinform.

In 2017-2021, Vsevolod Chentsov served as Ukraine’s Ambassador to the Netherlands and the Permanent Representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on April 6, 2021, Chentsov was dismissed from the said positions.

Chentsov’s predecessor at the new post, Mykola Tochytskyi, was also relieved of the positions of Ambassador to Belgium and Ambassador to Luxembourg.
