Zelensky enacts NSDC decision on sanctions against Russian online retailer Wildberries

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has put into effect the National Security and Defense Council’s decision of July 16 on economic sanctions against certain individuals and legal entities.

The relevant decree, No.304/2021, has been was published on the president’s website, Ukrinform reports.

"To put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of July 16, 2021 ‘On the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions),” reads the decree.

According to the document, NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov has been tasked with exercising control over the implementation of the NSDC decision enacted by the decree.

Sanctions have been introduced against the Russian online retailer Wildberries, its branches in Russia, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Armenia and some other countries.

In particular, the following individuals are subject to restrictions for three years: citizen of the Russian Federation, co-founder and general director of LLC Wildberry Tatyana Bakalchuk; citizen of the Russian Federation and co-founder of Wildberries Vladislav Bakalchuk; citizen of the Russian Federation, Wildberries IT director Andrey Revyashko; citizen of the Russian Federation and head of Wildberry's “Books” direction Aleksey Kuzmenko, citizen of France, founder of NGO "Official Representation Center of the Donetsk People's Republic in France" Fayard Gerald-Hubert; citizen of France that lives in Donetsk and is an employee of the so-called "Doni International Press Center" Neant Christel.

The decree comes into force from the date of its publication.

As Ukrinform reported, on July 16, NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov informed that the National Security and Defense Council had decided to impose special restrictive sanctions against nine people on the U.S. sanctions list.
