U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State George Kent, who currently serves as Chargé d'Affaires in Ukraine, has met with Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko, the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv reports on Twitter.

“CDA Kent discussed the importance of effective corporate governance and other key reform commitments with Finance Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko,” the embassy said.

According to the tweet, the U.S. will continue to support Ukraine as it implements reforms to ensure its success along its European path.

On July 1, Kara McDonald, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, said that the U.S. administration considers support for reforms in critical areas in Ukraine, as well as cooperation in the fight against corruption, as priorities of bilateral relations.
