Ukraine offers UAE mutual recognition of vaccination documents

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba held talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and suggested that Ukraine and the UAE should conclude an agreement on mutual recognition of COVID-19 vaccination documents to facilitate travel for citizens.

“During the telephone conversation, the foreign ministers of Ukraine and the UAE praised the dynamics of bilateral trade and investment and the implementation of agreements reached during the official visit of President Volodymyr Zelensky to the UAE on February 13-15, 2021,” the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reports.

The ministers paid special attention to the possibilities of expanding the portfolio of Emirati investment fund projects in Ukraine.

As noted, a separate topic of conversation was the preparation for the World Expo 2020 exhibition which will begin on October 1. Kuleba invited his counterpart to visit the Ukrainian pavilion during the celebration of Ukraine National Day as part of the exhibition on October 4.

The ministers also exchanged invitations to pay bilateral visits at a time convenient for the parties.
