Zelensky congratulates Sandu on victory of pro-European forces in parliamentary elections

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has congratulated Moldovan President Maia Sandu on the victory of democratic pro-European political forces in Moldova's early parliamentary elections.

Zelensky wrote this on Twitter, according to Ukrinform.

"Congratulations to my colleague President of Moldova Maia Sandu on a convincing victory of democratic pro-European political forces, in particular the PAS party, in the parliamentary elections! This is an important step for a friendly Moldova on the path of reforms & European aspirations!" he wrote.

According to tentative results, Sandu's Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) is leading in the early parliamentary elections in Moldova, gaining 52.51% of the vote. The election took place on Sunday, July 11, and citizens elected 101 deputies for the next four years. The electoral list included 20 parties, two blocs and one independent candidate.
