EU to mobilize EUR 17B in investment for Eastern Partnership countries

The European Union is mobilizing EUR 17 billion in investment for the Eastern Partnership countries, according to European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi.

He stated this via video at the Ukraine Reform Conference, which is being held in Vilnius (Lithuania), according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

Varhelyi announced a new significant economic and investment plan for the Eastern Partnership countries, mobilizing EUR 17 billion in investment to build new, more sustainable and dynamic economies and societies in the region.

The European Union on July 2 presented a vision for the future of the Eastern Partnership program, which includes a EUR 2.3 billion economic and investment plan for all six partner countries - Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Belarus.
