Kuleba asks Italy to open its borders to Ukrainian tourists

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has asked the Italian government to allow Ukrainian tourists to visit the country.

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, Kuleba said this after talks with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio in Kyiv on Thursday, June 10, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

He said he had discussed with Di Maio the security situation in eastern Ukraine, opposition to Russian aggression, and how Italy could further contribute to Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

"We live in times of the Covid-19 pandemic, so we also discussed this topic. I asked the Italian government to make this country open to Ukrainian tourists. We want to see more Ukrainian tourists in Italy and also more Italian tourists in Ukraine," Kuleba said.

He noted that Ukraine and Italy are friends who have repeatedly supported and will continue to support each other.

Di Maio is on an official visit to Ukraine on June 10.
