Kuleba on transferring TCG talks from Minsk: Russia will play on this story

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba believes that the impossibility for Ukraine or the OSCE representatives in the Trilateral Contact Group to come to Minsk will be used by Russia to slow down the negotiation process on the settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

"I do not see any conditions at all for the talks in Minsk to be resumed. But we understand that Russia will play on this story. Since Russia, in principle, benefits from anything that slows down the peace process and blocks negotiations, they will certainly use the story of the impossibility for Ukraine or OSCE to come to Minsk in order to slow down the negotiation process. We have to understand this," Kuleba said on the air of 1+1 TV channel, Ukrinform reports.

He noted that "there are different options, different proposals" for new venues for talks.

"However, we must understand that this option should be suitable for three parties: Ukraine, the OSCE, and Russia must agree to it," the foreign minister said.
