Ukraine, U.S. share common interests in security issues in Black Sea region – Zelensky

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussed the security situation in the Black Sea region.

The head of state said this during a joint press conference with the secretary of state in Kyiv on Thursday, May 6, Ukrinform reports.

"We discussed security issues in the Black Sea region. Here we see joint action," Zelensky said.

He promised to inform about the upcoming joint action in more detail after the parties agree on all the details. "I will not talk to you about this publicly yet. We need all parties to agree on this idea, and then we will definitely tell the public everything," the president assured.

According to him, the United States supports Ukraine in this difficult issue.

On May 6, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Ukraine on a working visit, during which he will meet with top officials and public figures.
