Honorary consulate of Turkey to open in Lviv

The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Turkey will open in Lviv soon.

This was discussed during a meeting between Chair of the Lviv Regional Council Iryna Hrymak and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine Yağmur Ahmet Güldere, the Council’s press service reports.

“We offer more active cooperation not only at the interstate but also at the interregional levels. Lviv region has many opportunities, attractive objects for investment, we open new interesting tourist routes and will be glad to receive guests. Our region already has many successful examples. Turkish companies can show others their own positive experience in Ukraine,” Iryna Hrymak suggested.

During the meeting, the prospect of signing cooperation agreements between Ukrainian and Turkish cities was discussed.

“According to forecasts, Turkish business plans to invest up to $10 billion in the Ukrainian economy. I very much hope that we will be able to attract part of these investments to the communities of Lviv region,” Hrymak added.

The Ambassador of Turkey assured that his country, even amid the pandemic, thought about expanding opportunities for cooperation with Ukraine.

Iryna Hrymak thanked international partners for providing military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
