Kuleba calls on Baltic States to convince EU, NATO of need for practical support for Ukraine

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba has called on his Baltic colleagues to convince other EU and NATO member states that Ukraine needs practical support in the face of destabilizing actions of the Russian Federation.

The Ukrainian minister said this at a joint briefing with the foreign ministers of Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia following the talks in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"There is no doubt that Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are always ready to support Ukraine not only in word but also in deed. However, I also asked my colleagues, as members of the EU and NATO, to talk to other members of these organizations about the need for practical support for Ukraine," Kuleba said.

He also said that the Baltic partners reaffirmed their readiness to act jointly in the UN, OSCE and other international organizations in order to consolidate Ukraine's effective international support in the face of Russian aggression.

As reported, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia Eva-Maria Liimets, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia Edgars Rinkevics and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis are on an official visit to Ukraine on April 15.
