Kuleba thanks Canada and Australia for additional sanctions against Russia

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba has thanked the governments of Canada and Australia for imposing sanctions on Russian citizens and entities involved in the construction of the Kerch Bridge.

“I welcome Canada’s & Australia’s additional steps to hold Russia accountable for the ongoing occupation of Crimea & human rights violations there. The campaign of increasing sanctions pressure on Russia will continue until the territorial integrity of Ukraine is fully restored,” Kuleba posted on Twitter.

As reported, Australia imposed targeted financial sanctions and travel bans against a Russian individual and four Russian companies connected to the construction and operation of the Kerch Strait Railway Bridge linking Russia to the illegally annexed territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

These sanctions were imposed in coordination with Canada, which earlier announced sanctions against two individuals and four entities in response to Russia’s illegal occupation and annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

In particular, Canada imposed sanctions against First Crimean Insurance Company, Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Crimea Railway”, JSC Lenpromtransproyekt, JSC “The Berkakit-Tommot-Yakutsk Railway Line’s Construction Directorate”, as well as Director General of JSC TC Grand Service Express Aleksandr Ganov and Deputy CEO for Infrastructure Projects at StroyGazMontazh Leonid Ryzhenkin.
