Razumkov calls on European Parliament president to assist in adoption of ‘Crimean’ resolution

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov called on President of the European Parliament David Maria Sassoli to facilitate the adoption by the European Parliament of a resolution on Crimea at its next plenary session, according to the parliament’s press service.

“According to the chairman of the parliament, the de-occupation of Crimea is a priority for Ukraine. He called on David Sassoli to assist in the adoption by the European Parliament of a resolution on Crimea at the next plenary session of the European Parliament. Razumkov also invited him to join the Crimean Platform," the report reads.

Razumkov expressed gratitude to the European Parliament for unconditional support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. He also noted that Ukraine is doing everything possible to achieve progress in a political and diplomatic settlement of the situation in the east of the country; however, there have been numerous ceasefire violations since January 2021.

Dmytro Razumkov and David Maria Sassoli also signed a memorandum of understanding between the Verkhovna Rada and the European Parliament.

As Ukrinform reported, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov is on a working visit to Brussels (the Kingdom of Belgium) and Luxembourg (the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg) on March 22-23.
