Danilov to hold talks in Lublin Triangle format in Warsaw

During a working visit to Warsaw within the Lublin Triangle format, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksiy Danilov will meet with Head of the National Security Bureau of the Republic of Poland (BBN) Pawel Solokh and the national security advisor to the President of Lithuania, Darius Kuliesius.

Representatives of the national security agencies of the three countries will also meet with Polish President Andrzej Duda, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We intend to discuss, in particular, our interaction, the security situation in the region, especially in the context of our common neighbor Belarus, as well as the prospects for deepening cooperation between Ukraine and Euro-Atlantic structures,” Solokh said in a commentary to PAP.

According to him, Poland wants "issues of NATO's Eastern Flank, conflict in Ukraine, and situation in Belarus to be actively emphasized in the international dimension."

Solokh also said that a personal meeting during a pandemic indicates the desire of the Lublin Triangle participants to deepen cooperation. He added that the presidents of Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine are interested in holding a meeting at highest level.

As a reminder, the Lublin Triangle was founded in July 2020 at the meeting of the foreign ministers of Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania on the occasion of the 450th anniversary of the Union of Lublin.
