President: I don’t believe in EU-Russia business as usual without settling situation in Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expects that the European Council at its strategic meeting in late March will send a strong signal condemning Russia's hybrid aggression against Ukraine.

The Head of State made a corresponding statement at a joint meeting with European Council President Charles Michel in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent informs.

Zelensky reminded that yesterday they made a trip to the Ukrainian Donbas together, where Michel was able to see the terrible consequences of Russia's ongoing aggression against Ukraine.

"The presence of the high-ranking EU official on the contact line is an important powerful signal of the EU’s solidarity with Ukraine... I hope that the European Council will send a strong signal condemning Russia's hybrid aggression against Ukraine in late March. I do not believe in returning to business as usual in relations between the European Union and the Russian Federation without restoring the territorial integrity of our country," Zelensky said.

As reported, a strategic discussion on EU-Russia relations will be held within the framework of the European Council at the end of March.
