EU-Ukraine Association Council: Brussels reveals agenda of talks

The European Union has revealed the agenda of the meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council, which will take place in Brussels on February 11 this year, according to a statement posted on the website of the European Council.

"The meeting will be chaired by Josep Borrell, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. The Ukrainian delegation will be led by Denys Shmyhal, the Prime Minister of Ukraine. Participants will discuss the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and developments related to Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity," the statement reads.

According to the EU side, the implementation of the Association Agreement will be discussed, focusing on several areas of interest: political reforms, rule of law and security, economic cooperation, and trade.

Participants will also take stock of the current situation in Eastern Ukraine and the implementation of the Minsk agreements, with a focus on humanitarian issues.

"They will discuss the non-recognition of the illegal annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol by the Russian Federation as well as regional issues," the statement reads.
