Shmyhal: Officials to travel to Brussels tomorrow for EU-Ukraine Association Council meeting

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has said that tomorrow the Ukrainian delegation will travel to Brussels for the seventh meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council that will take place on February 11.

He wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“On February 9, our government team will travel to Brussels for the seventh meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council. Over the next few days, we will hold a series of meetings with high representatives of the European Union, during which we will agree on further joint steps to implement our agreements," Shmyhal said.

He stressed that the Ukrainian government's strategic goal remains the same - movement to European markets and integration with the European Union.

“We have held the second meeting of the Commission for Coordination of the Implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. A list of 40 priority bills in the direction of European integration have been developed, seven have been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada and two have been sent to the President of Ukraine for consideration,” Shmyhal said.

According to the prime minister, the government's schedule for the first quarter of this year also includes issues on the regulations in the field of railway transportation, intellectual property, integrated border management, sewage treatment etc.
