Ukraine, Japan to deepen cooperation in cybersecurity – NSDC

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksiy Danilov met with Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine Takashi Kurai to discuss the issue of deepening cooperation between the security agencies of the two countries in the field of cybersecurity, the NSDC's press service reports.

"The sphere of cybersecurity, the expansion of international cooperation in forecasting and detecting potential and real cyber threats are among the most important priorities for the NSDC of Ukraine," Danilov said.

The parties also discussed the reform of the defense and industrial complex of Ukraine, in particular, reforming of the State Concern Ukroboronprom. In this context, Danilov stressed that in the process of reforming the defense and industrial complex, Ukraine’s key priorities are the maximum corporatization of enterprises and attracting investment from partner countries.

In his turn, the ambassador praised the determination of the Ukrainian authorities in implementing sanctions policy and stressed Japan’s continued support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country.

The parties agreed to continue further consultations on deepening security cooperation.
