Yermak arrives in Berlin to attend meeting of Normandy Four leaders' advisers

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak has arrived in Berlin to take part in a meeting of advisers to the leaders of the Normandy format countries.

Yermak's spokesperson Dariia Zarivna said this in a commentary to Ukrinform.

"[Yermak] arrived in Berlin to attend a meeting of advisers to the leaders of the Normandy format countries. Following the consultations, we will report on results," she said.

Earlier, the head of the President’s Office told journalists that such a meeting was planned to take place by the end of January.

On September 11, the negotiations at the level of political advisers to the leaders of the Normandy format countries were held in Berlin. They lasted seven hours. The main topics of discussion were the progress of implementation of the agreements reached at the Normandy format Paris Summit in 2019, the preparations for the next summit, the ceasefire regime in Donbas, progress in the Trilateral Contact Group activities, exchange of detainees and others.

Ukraine was represented at the meeting by Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Oleksiy Reznikov and Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak.

On December 9, 2019, the summit of the leaders of the Normandy format countries - Ukraine, France, Germany and Russia - took place in Paris.
