Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has congratulated his Swedish counterpart Ann Linde on the beginning of Sweden's Chair of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

“I congratulate Ann Linde on the beginning of Sweden’s Chairpersonship in OSCE. I’m looking forward to meeting you in Kyiv soon and discussing joint efforts to further defend European security order,” Kuleba wrote on Twitter.

He also congratulated Helga Maria Schmid on her appointment as OSCE Secretary General.

“Thank you for your support of Ukraine and all of our shared achievements during your tenure in the European External Action Service (EEAS), making the EU stronger and Ukraine more resilient. Congratulations on your new appointment as OSCE Secretary General. Looking forward to continue our good cooperation,” the Ukrainian minister wrote.

On January 1, 2021, Sweden took over the Chair of the OSCE for a period of 12 months.
