Zelensky tables bill on accession to Inter-American Convention on foreign law

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on Ukraine's accession to the Inter-American Convention on proof of and information on foreign law.

The bill was registered in the parliament on December 30, Ukrinform reports with a reference to the official website of the Verkhovna Rada.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is the initiator of the bill. The Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation has been selected as the main body to consider the document.

However, the text of the bill and the explanatory note are currently not available on the parliament’s website.

According to the plan of the Verkhovna Rada’s legislative activities for 2020, the draft law on Ukraine's accession to the Inter-American Convention on proof of and information on foreign law was developed so that to regulate international legal cooperation on the issues of proof of foreign legislation and information on it with the States Parties to this Convention.
