FM Kuleba: Normandy format and Minsk process still have potential

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba is convinced that the potential of the Normandy format and the Minsk process has not yet been exhausted.

"There is a decision of the National Security and Defense Council which outlines five scenarios of developments in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Now the events take place according to the first scenario. When colleagues talk about Plan B, they are obviously articulating the idea that it is impossible to remain indefinitely in the current modality of the process. But the potential of the Normandy format and the Minsk process has not been exhausted yet," Kuleba said on the air of Ukraine 24 TV channel.

He also pointed out the "titanic work" being done by a Ukrainian representative in the group of advisers to the leaders of the Normandy format countries, Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak, negotiating with German, French and Russian colleagues. "There is still something to fight for and there is something to put pressure on," Kuleba stressed.

Also, according to him, the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG led by Ukraine’s first president Leonid Kravchuk, despite the destructive atmosphere, is professional and understands that there is no other way.

Earlier, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said that the decision on Ukraine's transition to Plan B within the Normandy format will depend on the events taking place in the near future.
