Zelensky signs law to ensure access to high-quality COVID-19 vaccines

President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed Law No.1075-IX “On Amending Certain Laws of Ukraine on Ensuring the Prevention of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)”, the president’s press service reports.

“The document creates conditions for ensuring access of the population of Ukraine to safe, high-quality and effective vaccines against COVID-19. In particular, it reduces the terms of approval of clinical trials and state registration of vaccines or other medical immunobiological drugs for specific prevention of the coronavirus disease,” reads the report.

The law will help reduce the burden on the domestic healthcare system by vaccinating a significant number of patients within clinical trials.

In addition, the document will accelerate the entry into the Ukrainian market of vaccines that will successfully pass clinical trials, which will positively affect the image of Ukraine.
