Razumkov: No supplements will be made to bill on special status of Donbas

Bill No.4467 provides for a one-year extension of the law on special order of local self-government in Donbas and no supplements will be made to it.

As Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov said at a briefing, the bill provides only for a one-year extension of Article 1 of the Law of Ukraine "On Special Order of Local Self-Government in Certain Districts of Donetsk and Luhansk Regions."

“However, no supplements will be made to this bill. That is why I hope that all factions will be ready for considering it as a basis and as a whole,” the Speaker said.

Razumkov considers that not all parliamentarians will support the bill No. 4467 but there will be enough votes to pass it.

As reported, the law on the special order of local self-government in some districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions was adopted in September 2014. It entered into force on October 18, 2014 for a period of three years. In October 2017, the law was extended for one year, in October 2018 - until December 31, 2019, and in December 2019 - until December 31, 2020.

Earlier, Razumkov informed that the Parliament would consider the bill No.4467 on amendments to Article 1 of the Law of Ukraine "On Special Order of Local Self-Government in Certain Districts of Donetsk and Luhansk Regions" on Tuesday, December 15.
