Avakov, German ambassador discuss cooperation between Interior Ministries of two countries

Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov met with German Ambassador to Ukraine Anka Feldhusen to discuss the current state of cooperation between the Interior Ministries of Germany and Ukraine.

During the meeting, the parties outlined further steps in the development of bilateral relations, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported.

"On December 3, Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov held a meeting with Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Anka Feldhusen. During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The ambassador shared her experience in combating coronavirus in Germany,” the report reads.

Moreover, Anka Feldhusen said that Ukraine and Germany are also united by cooperation with Airbus Helicopters, a German-French company that produces helicopters for the unified aviation system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

She separately noted that she welcomes the release of National Guard serviceman Vitaliy Markiv from illegal imprisonment.

For his part, Avakov thanked the German side for support in restoring the territorial integrity of our country and resolving the conflict in Donbas.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further fruitful cooperation.
