Ukraine submits list of 11 people for prisoner exchange with Russia – Kravchuk

Ukraine has handed over to the Russian side a list containing 11 names to hold a mutual prisoner swap by the end of the year.

The head of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG, the first President of Ukraine, Leonid Kravchuk, said this in an interview with Hromadske online media outlet.

“We have submitted documents for 11 people. They are already fully prepared. We are waiting for the corresponding submissions from ORDLO since this exchange is not just a unilateral action. So far, we have not seen such reciprocal steps from ORDLO," Kravchuk said.

According to him, the ultimate goal of Ukraine is to exchange "all for all."

The last exchange in Donbas took place on April 16. The President's Office reported that 20 Ukrainians had been released from captivity. The Russian-controlled Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR/LPR) said that the Ukrainian side had released 14 people.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group for the Settlement of the Situation in Donbas (TCG) proposed to conduct an exchange of detainees until December 24, 2020.
