Work on organizing Sandu's visit to Kyiv underway – Kuleba

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is already preparing for an official visit of Moldova's newly elected President Maia Sandu to Kyiv.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this on the air of 1+1 TV channel on November 18, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“President Maia Sandu held her first two phone conversations with the presidents of Ukraine and Romania, which is a landmark step. Our President invited her to visit Ukraine, so we are already working on organizing this visit," Kuleba said.

As reported, Maia Sandu won the second round of Moldova's presidential election. According to the election results, she received 57.75% of the vote and her rival Igor Dodon garnered 42.25% of the vote.

Sandu stated that she wanted to conduct a pragmatic dialogue with all countries, including Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a phone call with Sandu on November 16, invited her to pay an official visit to Kyiv.
