Foreign ministers of Ukraine, North Macedonia discuss cooperation and trade

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia Bujar Osmani discussed issues of cooperation and trade between the countries.

This was discussed during a phone conversation between the ministers on Friday, November 13, Ukrinform reports with reference to the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

The foreign ministers, in particular, paid special attention to the development of trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and North Macedonia and outlined further practical steps of interaction in this direction.

“There are traditionally close and friendly relations between our states and peoples. We are ready to realize our full potential, in particular in the field of trade and economic cooperation,” he stressed.

In addition, Dmytro Kuleba expressed gratitude to Bujar Osmani for the consistent support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, which Skopje demonstrates at the bilateral level and within the framework of international organizations, and also wished the Republic of North Macedonia success on its path to European integration.

At the same time, the Ukrainian foreign minister congratulated North Macedonia on becoming a member of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).

Kuleba also invited the foreign minister of the Republic of North Macedonia to pay a visit to Ukraine.

As a reminder, the volume of mutual trade between Ukraine and the Republic of North Macedonia in January-October 2020 increased by more than 30 percent compared to the same period last year.
