Ukraine, Netherlands to intensify cooperation in digital services

Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Senik met with Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ukraine Jennes de Mol on November 11, the ministry's press service has reported.

The key topics of the discussion were e-governance and digitalization of the public sector. Senik informed the ambassador about the introduction of digital technologies at the Foreign Ministry and other public authorities of Ukraine.

Jennes de Mol praised the rapid introduction of digital technologies in Ukraine and stressed his country's readiness to develop bilateral cooperation in this area.

The deputy minister expressed gratitude to the Netherlands Institute of International Relations Clingendael for conducting a training course on commercial diplomacy and international business for Ukrainian diplomats, noting Ukraine’s interest in continuing this cooperation. The parties agreed to work on establishing ties between the Clingendael Institute and the Diplomatic Academy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, as well as to intensify interaction between Ukrainian and Dutch universities that provide education in the IT sector.

Given the leading role of the Netherlands as one of the largest investors in Ukraine's economy, the diplomats paid special attention to the prospects for trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
