Zelensky makes public all questions for nationwide poll on Oct 25

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has made public the last three questions that Ukrainian citizens are asked to answer as part of a nationwide poll on October 25.

The head of state announced this on his Facebook page on Friday, October 16.

"Here are the three final questions from the poll. Should the number of deputies in the Verkhovna Rada be reduced to 300? Do you support the legalization of medical cannabis in Ukraine to reduce pain for seriously ill patients? Should Ukraine raise the issue of the use of security guarantees set out in the Budapest Memorandum at the international level?" Zelensky wrote.

"Do you support them [the questions]? Then come to the polling station on October 25 and let us know your opinion! And in the comments below this video you can suggest questions for the next polls. After all, their outcome depends on you," Zelensky said.

On October 13, Zelensky published a video address, calling on Ukrainians to come to the polls on Sunday, October 25, and answer five important questions.

The President's Office specified later that the questions would take the form of a nationwide poll, but, unlike the referendum, it would not have any direct legal consequences.

The OPORA civil network said that if the survey of citizens on the day of local elections, announced by the president, is conducted at the polling station, it will have no legal grounds, and if it is conducted outdoors, it will have no legal consequences.

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Dmytro Razumkov said that no budget funds were envisaged for such a survey. He said that according to the law, such polls, as well as exit polls, can be conducted only outside polling stations.

The first question for the poll is: "Should life imprisonment be introduced for large-scale corruption?" The second question is: "Do you support the creation of a free economic zone in Donbas?"
