Ukraine, Cyprus resume active political dialogue and economic cooperation

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides have agreed to intensify political dialogue and trade and economic cooperation.

"The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Cyprus agreed to intensify political dialogue between the two countries and give a new impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation in the economic and investment spheres," the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported after the phone conversation between the ministers.

As noted, the ministers discussed the preparation for the next meeting of the Ukrainian-Cyprus Intergovernmental Commission as an important joint body to promote trade and economic cooperation.

Dmytro Kuleba expressed gratitude for the continued support of the Republic of Cyprus to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders both bilaterally and within the EU.
