Zelensky introduces temporary visa-free regime for Chinese traveling to Ukraine as tourists

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has introduced a temporary visa-free regime for Chinese citizens entering Ukraine for tourism.

A decree to that effect, No. 295/2020, has been published on the website of the head of state.

According to the document, the visa-free regime of entry into Ukraine and transit through Ukraine for Chinese nationals entering Ukraine for tourism, if their stay in Ukraine does not exceed 30 days within 180 days, was introduced for the period from August 1, 2020 to January 31, 2021.

The decree was signed "with the aim of developing friendly relations between Ukraine and the People's Republic of China, intensifying bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism."

Earlier, Zelensky introduced a visa-free regime for citizens of Australia, New Zealand, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Saudi Arabia from August 1 if their stay does not exceed 90 days within six months.
