Kuleba, Elkin discuss trade and investment cooperation between Ukraine and Israel

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba held a phone conversation with Ze'ev Elkin, the co-chair of the Ukrainian-Israeli Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, Minister of Higher Education, and Minister of Water Resources of the State of Israel.

Kuleba congratulated Elkin on entering a new Israeli Government and wished him every success in continuing his fruitful work as the co-chair of the Ukrainian-Israeli Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, the Foreign Ministry’s press service reported on June 25.

Elkin noted that he is pleased to continue working on the development of relations between Ukraine and Israel, which he has been doing for many years.

The sides discussed the ratification of the Free Trade Agreement, which is expected to take place very soon. Elkin is convinced that it will open a new page in relations between the two states.

Kuleba stressed that he pays great attention to the development of trade, investment, and the IT sector and expressed hope that Ukraine and Israel are able to achieve significant results in these areas of mutual interest.

The parties also discussed infrastructure projects in Ukraine, which could be of interest for Israeli investors, in particular, construction of the airport in Cherkasy, the Cherkasy-Uman highway, as well as projects in the field of IT technology and agriculture.

In addition, Dmytro Kuleba and Ze'ev Elkin exchanged invitations to visit Ukraine and Israel in a convenient time.
