Ukrainian, Romanian foreign ministers to intensify dialogue on national minorities

Ukrainian and Romanian Foreign Ministers Dmytro Kuleba and Bogdan Aurescu have agreed to intensify the dialogue on national minorities, in particular, to resume talks on cooperation between the education ministries of the two countries.

This issue was discussed during a phone call between the diplomats, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press service reported.

"The ministers agreed to intensify the dialogue on national minorities, in particular, to continue the seventh meeting of the joint Ukrainian-Romanian commission on ensuring the rights of persons belonging to national minorities and to resume negotiations on signing a protocol on cooperation in education between the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of National Education of Romania," the report reads.

According to the report, Kuleba thanked Aurescu for the proposal to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine in countering the spread of COVID-19.
