Kuleba announces next Normandy format ministerial meeting

The foreign ministers of Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia will soon hold another meeting to discuss ways to achieve peace in Donbas.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this at a joint press conference with his German counterpart Heiko Maas in Berlin on June 2, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We will continue the conversation in the Normandy format at the ministerial level. The talks will take place soon. We will discuss solutions to establish peace in Donbas,” Kuleba said.

He noted that Ukraine is open to the search for the broadest possible compromises but will not agree to cross its “red lines”, which relate to national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity. “I am very grateful to Heiko Maas and our German partners for understanding the sensitivity of this issue,” the Ukrainian minister said.

As Ukrinform reported, on April 30, the foreign ministers of Ukraine, France, Germany and Russia held a meeting via video conference. Formally, the event was hosted by Berlin.
