Makeyev appointed as Foreign Ministry’s special envoy for sanctions policy

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has appointed Ambassador-at-Large Oleksiy Makeyev as his special representative for sanctions policy.

“Oleksiy Makeyev will coordinate the activities of the ministry, as well as interaction with key international partners of Ukraine in the field of sanctions policy,” the Foreign Ministry’s press service reports.

Makeyev’s appointment will create the appropriate conditions for the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in compliance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Sanctions", and will also help coordinate the efforts of Ukraine with key countries and international institutions to increase pressure on the Russian Federation as an aggressor state for violating international law and human rights.
