Prosecutor General Venediktova holds virtual meeting with G7, EU ambassadors

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova has held a virtual meeting with ambassadors of the G7 and the EU, the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General reports.

According to the report, the prosecutor general informed the foreign partners about the tasks and goals, the achievement of which is the key to further reform of the prosecution agencies of Ukraine, as well as about the main results of the Office's work, in particular about the state of investigations in high-profile criminal proceedings.

“We need the support of the international community in continuing the high-quality transformations in the Prosecutor General’s Office,” Venediktova said.

In addition, the parties discussed possible promising areas for expanding and deepening cooperation.

In turn, the G7 ambassadors underscored the importance of continuing reforms to strengthen the rule of law in Ukraine and to ensure the independence and integrity of key anti-corruption and law enforcement institutions.
