Normandy Four ministers to hold a video conference meeting next week

A video conference of the “Normandy Four” foreign ministers is scheduled for next week, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas has said.

“We have agreed and we are very pleased that a video conference will be held in the Normandy format at the ministerial level; it will be held next week,” Maas said on April 22, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to him, this was agreed during a phone conversation with the foreign ministers of Germany, France, Ukraine and Russia.

Maas noted that in recent days he had spoken with three of his colleagues, and all ministers stated that important items of agreements adopted at the December summit of the Normandy Four in Paris had not yet been implemented. However, the exchange of detainees has begun.

All ministers stressed the need to implement the agreements and give them a new impetus, the German foreign minister added.
