Linkevičius on new Cabinet composition: Let’s continue strengthening Lithuania-Ukraine ties

Foreign Minister of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius has congratulated Dmytro Kuleba on his appointment as Ukrainian foreign minister.

In a post on Twitter, he wrote: “Thank you, Vadym Prystaiko, for friendship during your tenure as FM of Ukraine, looking forward to continue cooperation in your new capacity. Congrats Dmytro Kuleba, let’s continue strengthening Lithuania-Ukraine ties in all the areas, also preparations for 4th Ukraine Reforms Conference in Vilnius”.

In response to the tweet, Kuleba thanked Linkevičius and stressed that bilateral relations would be maintained at a "good pace".

As Ukrinform reported, on March 4, the Verkhovna Rada approved a new Cabinet of Ministers, which now will be headed by Denys Shmyhal. Former Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko has become deputy prime minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration. Dmytro Kuleba, who previously held this position, will now head the Foreign Ministry.
