Ukraine leaders, EU, NATO warned of Russia's information attack this spring - Bozhok

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has warned the leadership of Ukraine and its partners with the EU and NATO about the strengthening of an information attack of the "Russian world" ahead of the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Yehor Bozhok has said in an interview with Ukrinform.

"The Foreign Ministry has already identified the launch of a new information and propaganda attack by the Russian Federation aimed at returning to the agenda the concept of the so-called 'Russian world.' The quintessence of this attack will be celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. The Kremlin is trying to make the most of these days to create an information pretext for proving the validity of the so-called 'Russian world'," the diplomat said.

He added that this information attack is being carried out in relation to the whole European region - Ukraine, other Eastern European countries. Respective signs of this campaign are visible in Western and Southern Europe, he said.

"We have reported this to the leadership of the state, warned our partners and put forward proposals for response and counteraction," Bozhok said.
