Prystaiko says Zelensky did not talk about his resignation

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko has said that he had not talked to President Volodymyr Zelensky about his possible resignation as Ukraine's foreign minister.

He said this at a joint press conference with Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod in Kyiv on Thursday, February 6, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"I have agreed with President Zelensky from the very beginning that we will be working for as long as I can be useful. There is no problem here. If someone dismisses anyone, then it must be President Zelensky, rather than the talk of someone wanting to replace someone. [...] At least President Zelensky did not say that," he said, commenting on reports in some media outlets about his possible resignation.

At the same time, he said that if there was indeed an idea of his dismissal, he even had a candidate for this post, joking that Kofod could be "a wonderful foreign minister of Ukraine."
